2026 Survey on Business Conditions of Japanese-Affiliated Companies in Asia and Oceania

Thank you for participating in this survey.
1.	This survey is conducted annually in order to understand the business activities of Japanese-affiliated firms (i.e., companies for which the Japanese direct or indirect investment ratio is 10% or more, branch offices and representative offices of Japanese companies). As the objective of the survey is to ask about business environments of Japanese-affiliated companies in Asia and Oceania, we ask you to please respond from the local subsidiary’s point of view. Please note that in this survey “your company” refers to the local subsidiary (or local branch office).
2.	No individual company information will be publicized as your answers will be dealt with as statistical data. The information provided in your questionnaire responses (including personal data) will be properly managed and used only for the purposes of this survey by the contracted research firm and JETRO. Your personal information will be used to follow up on your responses and their status, to send you the survey report, and to confirm your willingness to participate in future surveys. Please check the privacy policy of JETRO. The survey is conducted by a research company (Transbird Inc.).
	In order for JETRO to use and process your personal data in accordance with JETRO Bangkok's Privacy Policy, please consent to the following. a. JETRO will use and process your personal data submitted in this questionnaire. b. Third parties outside the JETRO will use and process your personal data submitted in this questionnaire. c. JETRO will transfer your personal data submitted in this questionnaire outside of Thailand. Personal information will be transmitted across borders to JETRO's servers or to contractors who have signed confidentiality and personal data processing agreements in accordance with JETRO's standards.Survey results will be shared within about three months after the survey period (August 19-September 15, 2026). JETRO will use and process your personal data you submit in this questionnaire. b. Third parties outside of JETRO may use and process your personal data you submit in this questionnaire. c. JETRO may transfer the personal data you submit in this questionnaire outside of Malaysia. Personal information will be transmitted across borders to JETRO's servers or to contractors who have signed confidentiality and personal data processing agreements in accordance with JETRO's standards. Survey results will be shared within about three months after the survey period (August 19-September 15, 2026).

4.	In addition, the phrase “country/region” is used in some parts. Please note that “region” here is not a reference to regional economic zones like ASEAN, but rather Hong Kong and Taiwan.
5.	If the survey finished while you proceeding it, we will aggregate your answer to the final report.
